It all came from a great idea!
The original Burren Shebeen came about after our friend John Walsh had bought a caravan to attend Electric Picnic. On returning from the festival John wanted to find a creative use for the caravan, and so the idea of The Shebeen was born!
By May 2014, after four months of demolition, many hours of design work, and a whole lot of love, our retired 30-year-old caravan became a traditional Irish bar.
Beautiful Interiors
The interior woodwork is handcrafted Irish oak, which has been stained and distressed to recreate that vintage feel. We used solid pine for the flooring and the seats, again ageing the woodwork to create a warm, vintage effect. Antique pictures, mirrors and carefully selected pub memorabilia adorn the walls, which have been papered in traditional patterned wallpaper.
