We will be announcing our winner of our competition we ran (a days FREE rental of The Shebeen, bet you are sad you missed Taste of Dublin now!) in the coming week. The event is on in the Iveagh Gardens and is broken up into morning & afternoon sessions running from Thursday the 11th of June – Sunday the 14th of June. The times are as follows:
Thursday – Afternoon – 12:00 – 16:00 – Evening Session – 17:30 – 21:30
Friday – Afternoon Session – 12:00 – 16:00 – Evening Session – 17:30 – 22.00 (extended time)
Saturday – Afternoon Session – 12:00 – 16:00 – Evening Session – 17:30 – 22.00 (extended time)
Sunday – Afternoon Session – 12:00 – 16:00 – Evening Session – 17:30 – 21:30
We are located at stand number 52 shared with Teeling Whiskey. This is right beside the entrance to the lower gardens so it will be hard to miss us! These few days are promised to be a scorcher so call into us and have a pint to quench your thirst.
“John Walsh, a cabinet-maker from Galway, is set to introduce the U.S. to The Shebeen, a mobile, 10-seat Irish pub that has become a phenomenon in his home country. The tiny, 17-foot-wide pub, built from a converted caravan, comes complete with wooden floors, faux-brick walls, Irish memorabilia, and a bar with two draft lines. Walsh says he first conceived of the project after purchasing a trailer to take to the Electric Picnic music festival in Laois, something he was unable to offload after the event.”
